Jackson Hole Day 2-3

On Sunday we went to the local ward in Jackson Hole.  It was very crowded.  We weren't sure if the ward was small or what, but we realized that most of the people around us were visiting too.  It was fun and it is always nice to know that wherever you go in the world you can find a local LDS church and be able to take the sacrament and feel the familiarity of the simplicity of the gospel.  After church Sheryl taught me how to crochet an edge/design around a blanket.  I am not that good at it yet, but hopefully will be in the future with a lot of practice.

The next day we headed over to the Grand Tetons National Park.  It is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!  I love being out in nature and enjoying the world Heavenly Father has blessed us with.  It amazes me!!!   We took a hike around Jenny Lake.  My sister in law Suzanne had suggested the hike to us.

We stopped and took a lot of pictures around the lake.   The hike was 2.5 miles one way, but we also went on some additional hikes while there and some of the way was up hill.  We definitely stopped and enjoyed the view.

We hiked up to Hidden Falls, which is so gorgeous!!!

Matt and Kara looking at the Falls.

We decided to ride the boat back when we  realized our one water bottle was empty.

Kara waiting for our boat to arrive.  After our hike we went and got lunch.  We went up to the Signal Mountain Lodge.  We got our lunch and realized that there was some sort of plastic in Matt's taco salad.  Matt very nicely told our server and she graciously got him a new salad and she gave him the salad complimentary,  and gave us a free dessert to share and then gave us a $25 gift card to use in their shop.  I was really impressed with their service.   We enjoyed the rest of the park for many hours.
Later that night we rode the free Gondola up the canyon.  It was so exquisite to look down on the valley and it was fun to ride up with Katie and Sheryl.  Kara stayed home and watched baby Abe.

Katie and Sheryl way up high!  After we got down from the gondola John and family came to Jackson Hole.  John helped build Hotel Terra.  He was able to get us our condo there for free minus the cleaning costs.  Thank you so much John!!!
