Kara's temple walk

In April Kara went on a temple walk with some of her friends in their stake. At the Young Women's General Broadcast Sister Dalton had talked about a group of girls who had done a temple walk from the Draper Temple to the Salt lake temple.   Kara's group prepared for the big temple trip by during some other small walks before.  The first time they walked from the Oquirrh Mountain temple to the the Jordan River temple.  The second time they walked from the Oquirrh mountain temple to the Jordan River temple and then back to the Oquirrh temple again.  Finally on the last day they walked from the Oquirrh Mountain temple to the SLC temple.  Kara is really glad she did it, but I don't think she is looking forward to going on another walk anytime soon.

One of the reasons they chose to go on this hike/walk is because the whole purpose in Young Woman's ultimately is to see all the girls go to the temple some day and receive their endowments.  So walking to the temple will help them keep this goal in mind as they were walking but also as they think about the activity afterwards!!
Finally finished with the over 22 mile walk to the temple!!!!

FHE's with my family each month

Once a month my brothers and our families get together for FHE each month.  We take turns hostessing it at our home.  We use to be able to have it on the first Sunday of each month, but as everyone's life becomes busier and busier it gets harder to have it as often.  The pictures in this post are from my brother Mark's home.  It also happened to be his birthday so we all came over for cake and ice cream.  Mark hates to have anyone sing Happy Birthday to him, but we love to tease him so we decided to sing Happy Birthday to him, by singing as many different Happy Birthday songs we knew.

My brother Matthew and Mark both work together.  When we moved to our new neighborhood my son Spencer recognized some of the people at  church from people he works with at work. Coby and Spencer have both worked at the same place so it has sort of become a family affair.  My sister in law's brother, Robert also works there as well as one of his kids.  Anyways, the point I was trying to make was that my brothers have to travel a lot for work and many times on weekends.  So that is one of the reasons FHE gets harder and harder.  Also, my brother Mark is now a bishop and that keep him even more busy. I love spending time with my brothers and their families.  Actually, I love spending time with any family members, of course!!!!

Cousins hanging out!!!!

Kara's loves to go out her window to watch the stars and to enjoy the view.  I have done it myself a few times and it is safe and fun!  But when I didn't know it she and Mikayla decided to hang out on the roof.  I am glad I didn't know it at the time!!!!

Luckily, Brittany and Layla didn't try to go out on the roof too!

Easter!!!!!

For Easter my brothers and their families came over for dinner. We had a lot of fun!!!  Apparently, so much fun that I forgot to take pictures!!!!  My kids are getting a little old and aren't as excited to get their Easter baskets as they use to be.  It is kind of sad how fast they grow.  But they did appease me by letting me take pictures of them.  I don't have my Easter basket, but let's just say Matt and Kara (Kara for picking out great stuff and Matt for paying for it) did an incredible job!!!

I think I might need to sign up for a photography class or two!!!

Matt looking his usual handsome self!!!

Don't you think it is totally  normal to put stuff on your head?  Well, at our home it certainly is!

I love the ladies I work with and one of them got married!!!!!

I found out my boss Jayne was turning 60 and I wanted to do something nice for her, so I thought it would be so cool if I took pictures of everyone and had them write why they love Jayne!!!  It was a wonderful idea, but a little crazy to think I could do it all myself.  Anyways, after announcing that I was going to do this to all of my co-workers I found out Jayne was turning 61 not 60.  I wanted to do this because I adore Jayne and I think she is the most amazing boss anyone could every have.  The project took me a long time, but I really enjoyed it.  Below are some of the amazing women I have the privilege of working with each day.  I LOVE my job!!!

Our Principal.

My boss Jayne.  The picture quality is terrible on this one, but that is my fault, but you can still see her  beauty and if you look really careful you can see the halo over her head.  Seriously, she is an angel!!!

This is Debbie.  She is my partner each day at work. She is a lot of fun and such a positive, outgoing person!

This picture is a lot better of Jayne, but of course I am not taking it, Debbie did!

Natalie one of the cute gals I work with got married. She actually happened to live in my brother and sister in law's ward.  She is such a sweetie and because she got in a graduate program it was her last year.  I really miss her cute, smiling face!

I took pictures of a few of the pages so I wouldn't forget what it looked like.  I have noticed that I have started to forget many things.  Yikes, I use to love having such a good memory, but now that  is just a faded memory! (ha, ha)
