Christmas

For Christmas we went to some fun parties.  I started with an ornament party that my friend Makinzee hosted.  She invited a  lot of people from our neighborhood and it was fun to get to know more neighbors even better!

Then Matt and I went to an ugly sweater party that was so much fun.  We played a game called Beandazzled and that was something else!!!!

Then we had the ward party, followed by a few others that I can't remember.  Kara had a party with her friends at our home that was super fun too.

Finally  here are pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve night, I am reading a Christmas story.  Then we always watch a new Christmas movie.  This year it was kind of cheesy.  I will do better next year.

Our tree this year!

Christmas morning!

Everyone is in their new P.J's!

We read the Christmas story before we opened presents.  That can only be done when you have older kids, seriously.  They never could have waited before.

Christmas brunch!!!!   It was yummy.

More pictures of my chandelier so I could remember!

Christmas Holiday time

Between Christmas and New Year's Day we had a lot of fun as a family.  Coby had a party several times with many of his friends.  He has such a good group of friend that get a long so well.  We went and watched a movie or two, went to temple square and just enjoyed being together.   One day we went to Park City to go sledding and then afterwards we went to the Olympic Museum.  There were some really cool pictures of the Olympics. It brought back a lot of memories of my time working for ISB, in the Olympic Village.  What great memories.

Thanksgiving 2010

We had Thanksgiving this year at our home.  Both my brothers and their families come.  It was a lot of fun.  After we had dinner and visited for a while we went and saw the movie, Tangled.  We loved it!

Kara and Matt's date to the Jazz game on the 3rd row

Matt can sometimes get a lot of tickets to various things because of his work.  I usually go with Matt, but I thought Kara might really enjoy going and boy did she ever!!!   I think they were sitting on the 2nd or 3rd row and their tickets included dinner!

Enough Already!

What is it with this time of year? I have so much to do, take care of, clean, attend, blah, blah, blah. I think my head is going to explode. I know I am speaking collectively for all mothers. Explode. At least at that point the craziness would all stop. If I exploded, I wouldn't have to seach ONE-MORE-STORE for the one item I can't find!

While I was pulling into the parking lot of the 5th store on my list for the day, I remembered a childhood Christmas. It was the year of the Holly Hobbie dolls. I recalled my mom telling me when I was older about waiting in line for the store to open that year. And then all the mothers in a frenzy to grab the dolls. At the time I thought she was crazy. As I sat in the parking lot today, I realized she was a supermom.

For all of us who are stretched to our limits, maybe we could all plan to explode simultaneously. Wouldn't that be amazing!? A unified message, don't ya think? I just hope it doesn't mess up my hair.

Christmas Ornament Party

Makinzee and Camille had a fun neighborhood Ornament Exchange Party. It was so much fun to mix and mingle with some of the people in our neighborhood that I hadn't met yet.  It was fun to see the different ornaments that everyone brought and to each yummy food and visit.

Pictures of inside our home after I decorated!

An angle of our formal dining room (with my Christmas chandelier).
An angel of our formal living room.  I love the size, not to big, but just right.

 Part of our family room.

Our new bed set before I finished decorating.  I love it, now we just need to get a new mattress.
