22 years on the 22nd!

Pictures of pictures 22 years ago so they aren't very good!

Happy Anniversary Matt! My memories of this day, 22 years ago come so much closer to the surface and I realize my blessings even more. I am so happy that Matt and I found each other. My mom had just died 9 months before I met him and I was having a hard time adjusting and then everything started coming together from the moment I met Matt. He has been a blessing in my life every since and I am so grateful for him and the life we have created.

One thing I have learned is that Marriage is work and it can be difficult sometimes, but it is also full of a lot of joy. But all of the work and time spent just adds to the joy in my life. It seems like our life is moving way too fast sometimes and sometimes I think I am not doing as good of a job as I would like, but then so much of it is filled with happy times that it makes the hard times feel worth it. But today when I think of my hubby and I reflect over our last 22 years together I am filled with joy and I am so grateful!

Easter/Spring Break !

Above is my attempt at trying to make two bunny Easter cakes. I will have to work on making them next year too.
My Easter Basket that Matt and Kara bought me. Kara did a scavenger hunt for me to find it. It has been fun getting an Easter basket--my mom never did them and for the last two years Matt has been spoiling me.
Spencer with Easter basket! I don't think he likes gettting his picture taken too much any more.
Kara and Matt at the Easter hunt at the park in our neighborhood.
Colton and his Easter basket too.

Kara addressing us at the Conference Center---I LOVED her talk, I can't wait until it is in the Ensign.
Getting ready to go on a wagon trip like the pioneers.
Kara trying to be like Moroni. Sadly school starts again tomorrow, but only 53 days until school is getting out!

I LOVE conference weekend!

Matt watching conference (my very messy scrap book table is out too) I love scrapbooking!
Colton writing in his conference hand out that we got on http://www.theideadoor.com I love that site for any calling or to get ideas or of course for conference pages!
Kara and Spencer working on a lego project during conference and Fozzie in the back ground! Conference weekend is the weekend that we let our family room go (as you can see) and boy is it fun for a while.

I love general conference weekend it is so neat to be able to listen to all of the talks and to feel the spirit so strongly. I loved all of the talks, but if I were to pick my favorite one, well that would be really hard, but here is my best try at it or at least the ones that I really needed to hear. And they were Elder Hales, Elder Holland, Elder Eyring, President Monson, and Elder Scott's just to name a few. I love how conference leaves you feeling renewed. And the greatest news is that next conference Coby will be home from his mission! He only has 143 more days of his mission, but who is counting? :)

During the priesthood session which Matt, Spencer and Colton attended Kara and I did our bi-annual tradition of going out to eat and then going to Deseret book for their ladies night out party; we call it our Girls night out and we always have such a blast. Kara is so fun to hang around with!

The funniest thing that happened this weekend is we woke up to our door being tied to our trampoline, someones attempt at being funny at least that is what I hope, but who know for sure. It is Spring break here from this Wednesday to Monday the 13th at least for Colton and Kara. We are going to go and have a lot of fun this week. Does anyone have any good ideas for fun in Utah?

We are so sad to have a quieter home!

Michael looking picture perfect!
Jackson LOVES legos and built some cool stuff with them too. What a cutie he is and so well behaved!
At temple square in front of the Tabernacle and it snowed just for their visit! We got a tour from some very nice sister missionaries. We even listened to a organ recital that was wonderful.

The cousins really liked to play Wii and had a lot of fun!
Bella taking a nap! What a cutie!
We went to the Dimple Dell pool--twice. The kids really enjoyed the water except for Colton.
Star Wars monopoly is a pretty serious game when they play.

Kara and Bella had so much fun together. Above they are dancing! Kara asked if she could have a little sister after they left because she adored Bella so much.

We had so much fun with the Russell's; they are wonderful to have in your home. We did a lot of fun things while they were here. We went to temple square, swimming, went sledding, went house looking (trying to get them to move here):) went up to Snow bird and Alta. We went out to dinner at Joe's crab shack, and we went and saw the movie, "Monsters versus Aliens" and they treated. And Herb made his delicious Spaghetti--yum, yum, yum! We had fun visiting, the only bummer is our fridge truly ended up breaking so we didn't have a new fridge until Tuesday night, but they were so patient even in the midst of Matt and I's frustration. The computer and the compressor both went out and so we had to go fridge shopping and change our plans, but they were so understanding!
We were just so sad to see them go and it is way too quiet in our home now. I love the sounds of children playing and getting a long--joyful sounds. Thanks for coming to see us we need to do it again very soon.
